Here are the last of my one-sentence audiobook reviews. I know one resolution I have for 2023 – not let the number of outstanding reviews pile up throughout the year!

There is nothing quite as satisfying as a series, whether it be on television or written, that never loses its intensity throughout its span and ends with a spectacular finish, as Mr. Scalzi does with this one.

I don’t think I could fully appreciate this one, but I can understand what Mr. Yu was trying to accomplish for his readers.

I loved this fascinating look at post-war Japan until the end, which made me want to forget the entire thing because it frustrated me.

I love Gothic novels, and this one, with its creepy setting and even creepier family, hit all the right notes.

A continuation of the first book in the Clue mystery series that continues to delight and has one killer ending that immediately had me starting the final book.

I was expecting many more laughs but found an endearing story that surprised me with its emotional intensity.

The final book in the series didn’t contain as many surprises as I would have liked, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Oh, how I enjoyed this story full of magic and mystery, Edwardian customs, and a surprising romance!

While usually not my thing, I did enjoy this story because Maisie is such a hot mess who deserves a win.

I might have enjoyed this one more had I known that kaiju is an entire genre and got into that genre, but it is still a John Scalzi novel which means I enjoyed it anyway.
