Hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?” is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 25 February 2019. To learn more about each book, click on the book cover!
One book. I finished one measly book in seven days. I can’t even say that the one book was all that good. It was amusing and batshit crazy as only Jasper Fforde’s novels are, but it did not have me cracking a laugh not did it keep me on the edge of my seat. I have to get my reading act together. This lack of reading is insane.
DID NOT FINISH:
I guess this is a good thing.
CURRENT LISTEN:
There is still no listening this week to anything. It appears my brain is still at maximum capacity.
NEXT UP:
Do I start March’s review copies or read something for fun? I do not know.
What are you reading?

Read something for fun! I am so behind on all my review copies, and I know that I need to get my act together and read and review them. BUT WILL I, or will I read something for fun? TBD. Right now I’m rereading this massive epistolary novel called Freedom and Necessity that’s all historical fictiony with a bit of magic, and it’s hard to convince myself to abandon it in favor of something unfamiliar I might or might not enjoy. :p
I did read something for fun, and it was great! I am also steering away from weightier fiction these days because my brain cannot handle it. Science fiction and fantasy seem to be what appeals to me the most when I am dragging from work.
I was in your boat last September/October. All I wanted to do was read but because of work I couldn’t. It’ll get better!
Thanks, Julie! It is getting better, albeit slowly. This week will be vital for making April manageable.
Hey girl! I am reading The Beautiful Stranger, a March title. I’m also reading a light Sophie Kinsella title. Hope you’re week is better.
Thanks, Anita! My weeks are slowly getting better.
