We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week ending 7 September 2018.

- WE’VE GOT SPIRIT – Tonight is Holly’s first poms performance, so it will be our first high school football game in over a year. It is also parents’ night for the poms team, so I believe there is something we have to do with her as well. I always look forward to seeing her dance. Seeing her dance on the football field is going to be odd/fun/surreal.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Have fun tonight!!
Thank you!
I was wondering about poms too… Here, Fabulous Friday because not working this weekend and college roommate visiting. Oh, and cool. No humid expected either this weekend.
Poms = dance. Cheer = chants. If that makes sense.
Yes, the weather finally broke. We had our windows open last night, and I was actually cold this morning when my alarm sounded. It was wonderful! It means I will most likely have to bring a blanket to the game tonight, but I am okay with that!
This is going to sound like a dumb question, but what’s the difference between poms and cheer? We don’t have poms here and I’ve never heard it called poms before. 🙂
Have fun!! I hope the weather is cooperating today! Ours is super crappy.
The Poms team is the dance team. They only perform at halftime and help cheer the team onto the field. The cheer squad is what you traditionally think of when you think of high school sports. They are the ones on the sidelines encouraging the team and the spectators. At our high school, they only perform at halftime during the homecoming game. Most colleges have the same thing – a dance squad and a cheer squad.
Y’all have fun at the game! Morrigan had his first one last Saturday, and today he’s got one in Austin. He’ll be home extremely late (around 1am, yikes). But what makes today extra good for me? Not being in a hotel anymore!
I remember those days. Connor had at least one weekend where he would get back from one competition at 1 AM and then have to be back at the high school the next morning by 6 AM for another competition. He never complained. I did. Often. And loudly when we had to take him and pick him up from school.
