We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- TAX-FREE WEEKEND – For others, this is nothing new. Here is Wisconsin, a tax-free weekend is completely new, and we plan to take full advantage of it. It might take me a week to recover from the crowds, but the savings will be worth it. Especially since I just put together a budget for dance this year and estimated how much I will spend through May – and that doesn’t even include hotels, food, gas, or new shoes.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

No tax-free weekends in California.
I took Friday off and did school shopping. I managed to turn my ankle and slice my foot on a clothing rack. All in the same store. I am perfectly fine. No lasting damage. It just gave me a reason to cut the day short.
That surprises me that California does not have tax-free weekends. It is a relatively progressive idea, and California is all about being progressive.
Yeah, turning your ankle and slicing your foot is a sign from the shopping gods that you are done!
I never had heard of a tax-free weekend. Had to ask Kim about. I don’t think we’ve ever had such a thing in Pennsylvania…
…as for my past weekend (I’m always behind), it was fabulous because I got to go visit my mother for her birthday. Oh, wait, her birthday was Friday so that made it fabulous too. That she still is with us. On Sunday, we celebrated as a family with dinner so that was good too.
This was the first year for Wisconsin. I honestly did not know about it until my husband came home and told me. They did not do a good job about advertising for it, and I have no idea why they added it this year and not in years past. I am not complaining though!
We will definitely be taking advance of the tax free weekend here next weekend! Especially given that Morrigan has to go pay $350 today to be in band this year. Oy.
That is ridiculous!! What is the justification for that type of fee? Holly doesn’t even have to pay that amount for Poms!!
Have fun shopping! We’re doing a little school shopping tomorrow. I do not look forward to the crowds.
Me either.
