Thoughts on books, family, and life in one impressive package.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Button
Hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 2 July 2018. To learn more about each book, just click on the book cover!

I knew our vacation/non-vacation would be crazy, but no one expected the competition to run behind so badly. Out of the four nights the girls danced, only one of them allowed us to get back to the condo before 11 PM. By the time we got settled and ready for the next day, it was after midnight and I was too exhausted to read much. There was almost no downtime during the day either. I had hoped that my fears would not come true. I was wrong. Maybe the Fourth of July?

FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:

Shelter in Place by Nora Roberts Blood Will Out by Jo Treggiari

I really like what Nora Roberts is doing with her most recent few novels. She is shaking things up, throwing away her old and very successful formula and writing stories that are timely as well as entertaining. I hope she continues this trend.

The Jo Treggiari novel was okay. Nothing was truly surprising, and the story put me to sleep more than is probably good for a reader. It is going to be one I read and promptly forget.
