We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- EXHAUSTED – The last three weeks were strangely hectic, but that ends today. Thank. Goodness. The trip to Branson was exhausting, with early mornings and extremely late nights every night we were there. We got back on Sunday night around 12:30 AM, but it took me several hours to get ready for work the next day. I did not crawl into bed until 2 AM, only to have Jim’s alarm go off at 5 AM. That was also the first day of month-end close, so I got up. I did leave work early that day, but that set me back for the rest of the week in regards to duties for the closing process. Fourth of July did not help either. I spent the rest of the week in a fog of exhaustion and stress-related panic at trying to get everything done. The weekend was not restful given I had a house to finally set to rights, a kitchen to restock, and meals to plan. Monday followed more catch-up for everything I did not finish last week. Plus, it was the first day of summer dance classes. To make matters worse, Holly had another poms camp in the middle of the freaking day this week, and she could not find a single person willing to pick her up or take her home. So I great today with excitement and a sense of relief that this should be the end of things. At least for another week or two.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

I am sorry you had such a rough few weeks. Closing is brutal especially if you have a life outside of work.
My summer hasn’t been too grand. Having to remind my daughter to do her summer school packets all the time is a drag. She doesn’t want to be reminded but she is a horrible independent learner apparently. She cannot focus on the task at hand. It has really driven a wedge between us.
This weekend I want to do something but can’t (probably) because of her school work but then I got to thinking “I” am not taking the darn class so if she doesn’t finish what she needs to do she can stay home and do it and we will go out. There. Done.
Did you go without her? You most definitely should if you didn’t last week.
I hope that after all that craziness, you got a little time to relax and catch up on sleep!
Sleep, yes. Relax? Not yet.
Yikes that’s a lot of running. I feel your pain. This week – which ends today, sadly – has been my first week with any alone time since mid-May! But it’s back to running tonight!
Our respites are always short-lived, aren’t they?
I feel like you only ever get a day or so before things get crazy for you again!
I know. And I also know I should not wish these days away because they will be over far too soon, especially now that Holly is entering high school!
Justin comes home from summer camp tomorrow! It’s been so quiet for the last week! Hahah….we all have missed him, especially the dog. He’s moped around all week!
That quiet will become your new norm in a few more weeks! I can’t attest for your dog, but Tallulah has become a basketcase since Connor went to school. She developed separation anxiety really badly, which shows no signs of letting up now that he is home for a few more weeks. Hopefully, Jack does better for you!
