We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- LAST ONE – It seems like just yesterday I was writing about the first competition of the year, and yet here we are at Holly’s last regional competition. Finally. This weekend’s competition is limited, as only a few of the team soloists and one duet will be dancing. This means that we will be done late tonight and can enjoy the rest of the weekend with no dance of any kind scheduled. Maybe this means I can finally sit down and put my life back into order.
- BUT FIRST – Of course, before any life-ordering happens, there is a readathon in which to participate! We may not get home until the wee hours of the night tonight, making tomorrow’s 7 AM start time a bit of a challenge, but I cannot think of a better way to end the dance season than a day filled with reading and the celebration of reading. I have put my family on notice and instructed Holly to make sure Jim leaves me alone for the event. I am making no formal plans, nor am I making any sort of reading list. This is my time to get caught up on review copies and relax my mind and spirit after a long season.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

So is your life back in order? 😉
And how did your readathon go? Mine didn’t go as well as I planned, but still I was able to read a few books so not horrible.
Not back in order. Yet. But I feel like I am making progress. Slowly.
My readathon was excellent. I stayed up longer and read more than I thought I would.
Yay for some much needed reading and relaxation for you!! Hope you have a great day!
Thanks, Tif; I did!
Wow! So you ARE doing the readathon. Good for you! I am technically puttering around on Saturday but I am not in the right frame of mind to join in. I had that appointment yesterday. Waiting on the results.
Maybe you can participate in the October event!
Yay for the last competition!! I hope all goes well.
Enjoy your day of reading! I think I’m going to join in for most of the day. I won’t be able to stay up late, but I want to finish a few books if I can manage it. We have no plans tomorrow, so I figure I’ll take advantage!
Thanks, Brandie! It was all good!
I’m really excited about the Readathon too. The boys are off to my mom’s house this afternoon, and Jason and Morrigan won’t get home from Kansas until Saturday evening, so I’m all set! 🙂
I’m sorry you couldn’t enjoy the readathon as much as you had hoped. I do hope you can find some way to make it work for you better in the future!
