We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- ONE WEEK DOWN – Jim is one week into his Australia trip and my life is nothing but puppies and dance and work and snow. Lots and lots of snow because apparently Mother Nature has finally decided that it is winter here, and she is trying to make up for the lack of snow in the previous months. This means having to either use the absolutely terrifying and heavy snowblower or shovel. Neither are acceptable options in my mind, but in order to be able to get out of my driveway I need to do something. Thankfully, Cletus is settling in pretty well. He sleeps for at least six hours every night, and he absolutely loves to play with his sister which keeps him entertained and distracted from chewing up my house (for now). Housebreaking is still a work in progress. Given how he is acting and looking, I think he is just now getting to the 7-week mark in age which means he is just becoming old enough to understand the concept of house-breaking. I suspect this will continue to be an issue for a few more months simply due to his age when we got him. Still, he’s a good boy and a lot of fun. He loves to cuddle and play and his form of running around the house never fails to put a smile on my face. I am ready though for an extra set of eyes to watch him.
Every single night. And morning. And lunchtime.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Last Friday was not at all fabulous for me because of the termite crap I had to deal with but this Friday should be glorious.
Your house is all gassed and filled with dead bugs now?
Enjoy your weekend and bug-free house!
Awwww Cletus. I’m sorry that he hasn’t mastered house-training yet but glad to hear that he’s on the correct house-training schedule anyway. The big thing that helped me when my dog was a puppy was putting a bell on the doorknob and ringing it every time we took her out. Pretty soon she started ringing the bell herself when she needed to go out. It worked great!
We started the bell thing this past week. He is still at the stage where I don’t think he recognizes that he needs to go. And since he hates the cold, he doesn’t go near the door with the bell. I know he will put two and two together eventually. We did make progress this week though. We had one day where we had no accidents in his crate while we were gone at work/school. (I feel like I’m potty training my kids again and need to create a potty chart for every win we get.)
The snow is ridiculous. It won’t stop coming down here. I’m over it! I’m glad Cletus is doing well. Puppies are hard work!
I did clear the driveway after I got home last night but when I got up with the pup this morning it was snowing again. I know it shouldn’t bother me because it is winter, but I do think getting this much snow in February is a bit ridiculous.
