We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- LIBERTY BOWL – Jim and I always knew we would get to a bowl game at least once in our lifetime. We just never figured it would be to watch our son’s college play, and that’s okay. We are on our way to Memphis, Tennessee to catch all of the Liberty Bowl festivities on Beale Street today and the game tomorrow. The Iowa State marching band is marching in today’s parade and participating in the pep rally. Connor has a few free hours after that where we hope to catch up with him before he has to get back with the band. Tomorrow morning will be an early one as we hope to watch all of the pre-game rituals the band leads for ISU before they take the field. It is going to be two very long and cold days, but I know they are also going to be a lot of fun. Go Cyclones!

What fun! My brother’s family went to the Liberty Bowl a couple of years ago and said Memphis does it right!
