We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- CHRISTMAS IS COMING – Who is ready? Me! Me! The presents are all wrapped. We will be making cookies this weekend, something Jim wants to do as a family. I’m sure there will be games and movies. We plan to see my brother, his family, and their new puppy. The kids are actually excited this year for the first time in a long time, which makes me excited.
- LONG WEEKEND – On top of it being Christmas in three days, I get a long weekend out of the deal. My company usually makes Christmas Eve a holiday, but since it falls on a Sunday they are giving us Boxing Day this year. It means a four-day weekend. Followed by two days at work. Followed by a five day weekend as I am taking off on Friday so we can head down to Memphis to watch Connor march and cheer on the Iowa State Cyclones in the Liberty Bowl. I love this time of year!
This has nothing to do with the weekend. I just think it was cute.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Yay for lots of time off! I hope you and the family had a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy your days off!
Thanks, Brandie! We are taking it easy today. Jim is still struggling, and I am not in the best of moods right now either. So introverting is the best possible medicine.
I’ve been off for a week now and it has gone by so quickly. I am excited for this weekend because my husband if finally off for a week. It’s the only time he can take time off so we hope to make the most of it. The funeral hasn’t been scheduled yet because my SIL was back in the hospital. She just got out but this has to be scheduled soon. The entire family is ready to put it behind us.
I can only imagine you are ready. I am glad your SIL is out of the hospital though. What a trying time for all of you!
Enjoy your week off with your family!
Days off at this time of year? That’s ALWAYS something to celebrate!
Yes, indeed!
