We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- Counting Down – One more week until vacation, baby. At this point in time, that is about the only thing on which I can concentrate. The thoughts of no work for a week, a beach, and lots of books are just too strong. It has been way too long since we have had a family vacation that did not involve visiting family or dance.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?
A beach vacation?? My fave thing. I can literally just sit there all day. BUT, a weird guy hovered around my daughter’s friend and I when we went last Friday. I could write a thriller based his peculiar behavior and my thoughts running every which way. Deserted beach, strange guy, backpack and phone he left with us while swimming during a SHARK warning. My mama bear tendencies came out and out came my Buck knife. Someone was about to go down and it wasn’t going to be me! The kids were oblivious but my mind… it was in overdrive. I’m sure he eventually sense that I was going to lose my shit if he said one more odd thing to me.
YES!! A beach vacation! My first one since Holly was three, so ten years ago. It is WAY overdue. It will be interesting to see how Jim reacts to Holly in her various suits. Some of them are a little more revealing than he will like. I know she is going to turn heads. We will see who gets more protective – him or me. Hopefully, it won’t be too crowded but not totally deserted either. That is a bit creepy to me.
A week on a beach with your family and a pile of books sounds absolutely perfect! What a great thing to count down toward.
I cannot wait! It has been far too long since we have done a relaxing vacation like this.
