We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

Never have I been so happy for a Friday.
- Prom – Connor’s last prom is tomorrow night. This year, he is going with a friend and keeping it a very low-key affair. They even made their own corsage and boutonniere. For some reason, I am really excited for him and know he is going to have so much fun. Plus, I can’t wait to see him all suited up.
- Solitude – Jim is in Germany this week for work. Dance is minimal this weekend.Too much drama this week at work and in DC have left me drained to my very core and almost incapable of functioning. With Connor at prom, it is just the girl and me this weekend. I am really looking forward to the peace and quiet that this means. I will be busy making props and doing some neglected chores, but being home will be a balm.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

I need to get your site more often. I miss the gifs on Feedly; they don’t show up. I especially like the C3PO this one.
I hope you’re enjoying your quiet weekend, pretty much without the boys.
Here, the weekend has been good, despite the rain. Going to a neighbor’s to watch the NASCAR race and maybe we’ll go to see the second Guardians of the Galaxy.
Thanks, Bryan! It’s been a pleasant weekend interspersed with some stress-inducing fury. Hopefully, the rest of the day will be relaxing and productive. Enjoy the race and the movie!
Hope he has a good time at prom!
Thanks! I am still waiting to hear how it went and see pictures.
I wanna see pics of what they made!! Also, the Carrie nod. You are SO me.
I am thrilled for it to be FRIDAY. It’s been a tough week. I had stuff every single night and this morning my union called me and told me that I was underpaid by 8.9% according to the new hires in my classification so they sent me a completed raise request and all I had to do was sign it and submit it for processing. Doesn’t mean I’ll get it but I do sooooo much for sooooo many of the directors.
Also, it’s been a very weird week in that a rock fell off a mountain and hit my car. It left a tiny scuff mark. I cannot believe it because it hit so freakin’ hard and from so high up. And then, my son narrowly missed getting hit with a cinder block that fell off a construction site from 14 stories up! He could have been killed. Fell a few feet from him.
He just got a job with the city in Arts and Planning. So it’s probably good he didn’t get nailed by that block of cement.
I will try to get a picture, although we had a phone emergency that threw our plans for pictures out the window.
Yay for raises! I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get it!
That is freaky scary about the near-misses E and you had. I hope this week is completely uneventful for you!
Hope your quiet weekend is restorative.
Thanks, Jill!
Sounds like you a much needed weekend at home. I hope you enjoy it. And I hope Connor has a great time!
Thanks, Brandie! Enjoy your weekend.
