We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

- St. Patrick’s Day – True Irish men and women may look at us and think that we are crazy (they do and we are), but I still cannot help but get excited about March 17th and its excuse to wear green, act silly, and drink Irish whiskey – maybe not in that order. I doubt there will be Irish whiskey on the menu tonight, as the first of the girls start competing at 7 PM tonight and won’t be done until after 11 PM. However, I am wearing my green, showing off my Irish tats, and loving every minute of it. Éirinn go Brách!
- Let’s Dance! – After countless hours in the studio, too many aches, pains, and strains to count, tears of frustration, many checks, and millions of rhinestones, Holly’s dance team starts their first of four dance competitions tonight. The girls start performing at 7 PM tonight and won’t finish until almost 10 PM on Sunday. Holly’s two dances are tomorrow morning, but we always stay to cheer on the rest of the team. (We will not be staying for that last dance on Sunday. Holly and I still have to get up for school/work the next day after all.) Plus, it is always interesting checking out the rest of the competition since we know we will see most of them again sometime during the month. It will be a long weekend but a fun one!

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

That seems like a long dance competition. I hope Holly enjoyed it.
Susan, dance competitions are always at least two days if not spilling into three. We are used to it at this point in time. She loves every minute of it and refuses to miss a dance.
Good luck, Holly!! I hope it’s a great weekend for you both. Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Thanks, Brandie!
I am so excited because today I am going to the University Club for Corned Beef and Cabbage and who knows what else. I am meeting some retired colleagues and it promises to be good. I wish Irish Whiskey was involved but for me, the only one who has to return to a desk, nope. I could really use some. Work stuff is getting to me. The back stabber is at it again. I try to give her the benefit of the doubt but she always stabs me in the back!! I am rather tired of it and told her off yesterday. I didn’t feel all that good about it last night but this morning I feel better about standing my ground. I don’t need negative mojo in my life.
Good for you! I did the same to my female backstabber and nemesis at work too. I don’t know if it helped the situation, but at least I let her know I am aware that she is purposely trying to sabotage me.
Enjoy your corned beef!
