- Friends make everything better – Seriously. Feeling low? Call up your best friend. Need some support? Go on Twitter and commiserate with your online buddies. This week, I received my very own pussy hat from Elle, @gleefulreader. I was asking about finding someone on Etsy to make one for me, and she made me one as a gift. She lives in Canada! Not only do I get a little kick out of wearing it every morning, but I love knowing that someone cared enough about what is happening in our country and about me to make me a gift. When the news is nothing but a shitstorm, and my in-box is filled with urgent, must-take-immediate-action newsletters from various interest groups, this simple act made my week. I love my friends.

Amen! I must say, my blogging/Twitter peeps have been a tremendous comfort these past few months!
I have to say friends, especially those online like yourself and Ti, have been a great source of solace this past month. I appreciate your responses to my posts and trying to keep our spirits up despite the shit show. Thank you (bowing) :).
You are very welcome! I find myself really enjoying visiting everyone’s posts these days because there is comfort in shared misery and I love seeing how everyone is coping. I find it inspiring. I also know how much I appreciate the kind words people post, so I want to do my part for others I care about. I am glad it is working!
I’m so glad you got a hat! That’s a happy thing for this poop weather. This is my last weekend as a family of 3! that’s insane. Family movie or game night planned for tonight which is a fabulous way to kick it off!

I agree. Friends and online interactions with the people we like help tremendously during these $hitty times. I must say Ulysses is a handy way to work the brain out of the numbness I forced it into just to survive the past two weeks.
I keep meaning to take a picture of the hat, but we have not had regular sun since December. It’s depressing and makes for terrible photos!
I never thought I would say this but I am sort of enjoying the challenge of Ulysses. The story does appear to ramble…a lot but there is something so unapologetic about it that is rather amusing. I hope this continues!
I should get my mother to make me one. I keep thinking about it, but then forget to ask her. lol Instead I bought books and supported authors being treated like garbage by other people and the new president. It was my small part.
The hats are fun and I guess supremely easy to make. I think every action we take is a step in the right direction. I hope.
