We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

By the time you most likely read this, I will be on a plane heading to Phoenix with the family. The long weekend makes up for the fact that the flight left at 5 AM this morning. Maybe. We will see.
Other good stuff…
- Run, boys run! – After weeks of training, Jim and Connor finally get to put the marathon behind them after Sunday. This is Jim’s third marathon, so I feel like he is a pro at these things. This will be Connor’s first however, and we are all quite interested to see how he does. It should make for an interesting albeit quiet Sunday afternoon however it ends though as I know neither one will be in the mood to do much more than nap and take a cold bath.
- A chance to warm up – I accept that I live in a cold part of the nation. I understand that winter brings snow, ice, damp, frigid temperatures, and in general the type of weather that makes other parts of the nation run and hide. I accept that and even enjoy it. However, this does not mean I do not appreciate the chance to get away from this weather when I can. I am thoroughly looking forward to setting aside the winter coats and bulky sweaters for three days while we explore Phoenix and the southwest for the first time ever. After last week’s single digit temperatures, the mid-60s in the forecast seem like a little slice of heaven!

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Lol, I love Friends. It never gets old.
I hope you’re having a great trip and getting to enjoy some warmer temps! And good luck to Jim and Connor today!!
Thanks, Brandie!
Just as you’re getting unexpected snow in Arizona, we’ve had a bit of a surprise day here too. Yesterday the forecast told us a low last night of -3 and a high today of around 10. Instead, it suddenly dropped to -17 and hasn’t gotten above 0 today. I tell you, I’m highly looking forward to the forecast next week when we’re supposed to have some days in the 40s. And I’m definitely looking to winter elsewhere next season!
Ugh! Unexpected below zero temperatures should never be something that happens. They are brutal enough when you are prepared for them.
You should move down by me! We aren’t as cold as you and you would be relatively close to family still!
We’ve had record rain here. Northern California is now out of the 8 year drought. Us Southern California peeps are still in a drought even though we have had loads and loads of rain. More than the last 6 years combined. It’s cold today too. Not as cold as you though.
I am just worn out from this week. Tomorrow I am taking my small group for ice cream and then the fam wants to see Rogue One. Sounds good to me.
I know it is cold and rainy for you but having that much rain has to be a relief. The drought California was in was unreal. I hope SoCal can get out of your drought too!
Enjoy your Saturday! That sounds like it would be a lot of fun.
Enjoy your trip!
Thanks!
I love Phoenix and hope you guys have a wonderful time. It’s a great place to visit in the winter. If you get a chance, I can recommend The Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale. Just saying…LOL!
We hit The Poisoned Pen on Saturday and definitely made a purchase or two. What a great store!
