Every book is a journey – someone wiser than me said it first but it remains true nonetheless. Part of the year-end reflection is looking back to see where in the world my books have taken me this year. I always strive for reaching every continent, and while I did not get to Antarctica this year, I did manage to make it to pretty much every other place around the globe.

I did something similar to this map years back, only highlighting countries rather than specific places (so the US was just one color, for instance). I decided it was too difficult to track all of that, heh, so I stopped, but you make me want to do it again for 2017! I love maps like this!
Google Maps makes tracking this so much easier! It is a fun exercise, and I do love checking out the map to make sure I am reading books that occur all over the world.
Very cool! I’m impressed with your graphic skills!
Aw, shucks! It is nothing but a Google map that I have made public and embedded into the post. I definitely do not have those types of graphic skills!
This is so cool! I never really think about where my books have taken me – but I should!
It’s actually pretty easy. I just use a Google Map and add points on it for every book. It is a great way to look way back and also to make sure you read diversely.
What a fun idea! You’ve really read your way around the world!
I try!
