It’s been a good year for reading. I read more than I thought I would, but more importantly, I relished slightly longer books than I have in past years. I can never rank my books – mostly because that takes more time than I am willing to devote and because it honestly changes from minute to minute some days. However, here is a list of the books I read this year, where I marked the ones that really stand out to me as I reflect on the year.

We have favourites in common and others on here I have, just need to read! Hope 2017 is a great reading year for you!!
Happy New Year, Kelly!
I am so impressed that with your busy schedule you managed to read this many books! And so many great ones. I want to read Faithful soon. It may be what I pick for my first book of 2017. I’m still trying to figure that out.
What can I say? When I tell everyone I don’t watch very much TV, this is why. I would much prefer to read in the evenings than sit in front of the TV.
I really wish I had waited to read the first Laini Taylor until they all three were out, because they are so complicated, and if you wait too long, I think it’s hard to continue without re-reads, and I sort of hate having to do that. That must have taken a huge amount of work to set up that list with links! I’m impressed!
I understand completely. I have decided that unless I finish a series back-to-back, it is always going to require re-reads. However, that is where audiobooks come to the rescue. I don’t feel like they are quite as useless then.
I actually keep track of all of these sheets throughout the year and have them listed under the main menu. So it becomes a quick addition after each time I finish a book and then again when the review is published. As long as I stay on top of it, it takes no time at all.
Whenever in the world do you find enough time to read so many books?! I’m jealous!
No TV. That’s my number one go-to advice. Plus, I didn’t exercise. It’s amazing how it all adds up after a while!
Great list! Dark Matter was also one of my favorite reads this year, and many others that you’ve highlighted had already made their way onto my to-read list when you reviewed them.
