We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- I SURVIVED – The week of month-end close is always stressful. Trying to close the books and publish reports as quickly as possible without making any errors and doing so with deadlines staring you in the face is a challenge every week. This week, I also had to deliver on one of the biggest deliverables for the 2017 budget. This meant extra meetings, extra work, and many long days at the office. I am just glad to put this week behind me.
- HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL – Tonight is the debut of Connor’s high school’s annual musical. This year, he opted to participate in the pit orchestra, so now we have a reason to go. They are performing one of my favorites, “Bye Bye Birdie.” I look forward to seeing it!
- BIRTHDAY – Tomorrow is Jim’s birthday, and other than Holly having dance rehearsals, we have nowhere to be and all day to celebrate. I know I will be making Jim’s favorite cake – carrot cake using his grandmother’s recipe. Other than that, the day is open for him to do what he wants.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Congratulations on your work success! Those kind of weeks make sitting down and reading a good book such a nice way to relax and well deserved!
Thanks, Katie! I did not read as much as I expected, but just knowing the worst week was behind me was such a relief!
Happy birthday Jim!!
Thanks, Jenny!
Congrats on surviving the week. Hope you’re enjoying the musical tonight and that Jim has a good birthday tomorrow. Here, Fabulous Friday because we’re going to see Doctor Strange this weekend and I hope to get back on the reading train. Woot woot!
Oh, I can’t wait to hear about Doctor Strange! I recently decided to get caught up on the Marvel universe, complete with TV shows. Agent Carter starts tonight!
Sounds like a great weekend! Happy Birthday to Jim!
Thanks, Kelly!
Happy Birthday, Jim!!
I’m glad you made it through the week. Enjoy the play and your weekend!
Thanks, Brandie!
Bye Bye Birdie is one my kids haven’t done (yet). Enjoy!
Evan auditions for In the Heights in a week or so. Joseph is in full swing. I am putting holiday parties into my calendar already. Yep. The year is flying by.
I love “Bye Bye Birdie.” I am so glad they are doing it. I can totally see Evan as Albert too.
I know. This year is just too much, isn’t it?
