Thoughts on books, family, and life in one impressive package.

Fabulous Friday Button

We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

  • I SURVIVED – The week of month-end close is always stressful. Trying to close the books and publish reports as quickly as possible without making any errors and doing so with deadlines staring you in the face is a challenge every week. This week, I also had to deliver on one of the biggest deliverables for the 2017 budget. This meant extra meetings, extra work, and many long days at the office. I am just glad to put this week behind me.

  • HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL – Tonight is the debut of Connor’s high school’s annual musical. This year, he opted to participate in the pit orchestra, so now we have a reason to go. They are performing one of my favorites, “Bye Bye Birdie.” I look forward to seeing it!

  • BIRTHDAY – Tomorrow is Jim’s birthday, and other than Holly having dance rehearsals, we have nowhere to be and all day to celebrate. I know I will be making Jim’s favorite cake – carrot cake using his grandmother’s recipe. Other than that, the day is open for him to do what he wants.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?
