We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- VACATION TIME – After the fall season kicked my butt, I was in desperate need of some time away from work. So, last week, I took a much-needed vacation day and thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend. Today, I am leaving work early for some more time away from work before the shit hits the fan in full force next week. Most of the afternoon will be spent driving to Michigan with Holly for her dance competition, but I am really looking forward to time away from the office in any form.
- ROAD TRIP – Holly will be competing tomorrow morning at her second Irish dance competition. This one is outside of Detroit, so that means another road trip. This time around, it will just be Holly and me. I always love this opportunity to spend time with my daughter because we never fail to have fun. I find out what is going on in her life, and we get some time away from the boys. It might be another whirlwind trip, but I am okay with that to be able to do this with her.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

How did Holly do at her competition?
I am dragging my butt today at work but I am hoping to leave here early so I can beat the traffic home. Halloween should always be the last Saturday of October.
She competed in three different dances and placed third, second and third for each. It was SO awesome seeing her on that podium and getting recognition for dance when she has not been receiving similar recognition for her efforts on the other competition team.
I hope you had a great Halloween! Your costume on Sunday was priceless!!
Glad to hear you’re finding some time to relax! Enjoy your road trip – that time one on one is so great and something you will both cherish long after it’s over.
Thanks, Lisa! It was great to get away from work. While the drive was a long one, I think we both had fun.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks, Kelly! You too!
Agreed! It’s a special time with your daughter. Have fun and drive safe.
Thanks, Debbie!
YESSSSS for time away from work! And your road trip sounds like a blast, have fun! 🙂
Thanks, Sarah! The time away from work is MUCH needed. Amazing how a few hours can make all the difference.
Have a great trip! Enjoy the extra time off. 🙂
Thanks, Brandie!
