FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:

I really need to get back to Deborah Harkness. I own them all and have only read book 1!
Yes, you do! BTW, they are WONDERFUL on audio!
I feel guilt when I see those Harkness titles because I totally need to restart and finish that trilogy! I can’t believe I never have picked them up. I’m reading Wonder Women right now – short and snappy it seems like!
I love the Harkness trilogy! I’ve read each book and listened to all but the last one. The story never grows old for me. I just love everything about it!
Wonder Women is definitely short and snappy. It means I won’t retain a single thing, but it was entertaining while I read it!
None of the books I wanted to read for RIP have come in from the library. They all say I am next on the list but it’s been weeks. Still waiting. I am in the mood for a good, scary book.
Oh, that’s frustrating. If there is a waiting list, do patrons get to renew the books they have checked out? I wonder why you have been waiting so long for those books.
I want to read In a Dark Dark Wood, I feel I need to try another book by the author.
I enjoyed In a Dark, Dark Wood MUCH more than I did The Woman in Cabin 10. Much better execution and better story. Better everything in fact.
I have Wonder Women sitting on my bedroom floor. And I’m interested to hear your thoughts about Mischling…it’s dropping on and off my radar with everything I read about it.
I am not reading Mischling at my normal pace. I am loving every minute of it, but I find that my dreams are not the greatest if I read it before bedtime. Unfortunately, bedtime is when I do most of my reading. The language though is so beautiful. And the story is gutting me at its matter-of-factness to the horrors of Auschwitz.
