FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:

Definitely curious what others think of Mischling. I loved the writing, but didn’t feel like the novel quite hit where I expected it to (could be a case of high expectations). Hope you have a great week!
Good to know! I absolutely love the writing. I am not far enough into the actual story to be able to discern anything else.
Mischling is on my radar too, interested to see what you think! I just started This Savage Song- I *hardly ever* read YA, but evey now and then I like to give it a shot. It’s been rough so far lol, but I am still giving it a chance.
I’ve heard good things about This Savage Song. I hope you keep with it. YA can be really enjoyable, but I find I have to approach it differently than adult literature.
Happy reading this week! I am going to need reading to escape this week…I started that Russian romance, The Bronze Horseman, which I’m enjoying (surprisingly), but it’s really long. I may have to break it up with something suspenseful along the way.
You can do it! This is going to be a stretch for you because it is long and it is Russian. Hang in there!
I’m with Sarah! Mischling seems like it would be a perfect fit for my literary wheelhouse, but the mom part of me thinks it will wreck me completely. I will be interested to see what you think of it.
It is going to require some isolated reading time. I find myself wanting to savor the language, which almost never happens for me.
Hopefully it is lots! Have a great week!
Thanks, Kelly! You too!
I’ll be interested to hear what you think of Mischling…I’ve heard mixed things, but it’s on my radar.
I did not get that far into it this weekend. There have been a few paragraphs that have absolutely slayed me so far. It is the type of novel I want to read in total isolation so that I can concentrate completely. Sadly, those moments may be rare. I like what I have read so far though!
