We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- LONG WEEKEND – It does not matter that Saturday and Sunday are packed with friends and cross-country. All of that falls by the wayside because we do not have to go to work on Monday. Now THAT is a reason to celebrate. (To make things even better, we are one step closer to the release of PSLs. And sweater weather. And fall. Woohoo!!!)

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?
You got that right. A Monday without work is a perfect day.
How be you? I am just so glad it’s Thursday. The week is dragging a little. Right now, I am sucking down coffee trying to morph into a somewhat productive human being. It’s kind of working.
How are the kids? I see that you are busy as usual. I dropped off all the waivers for the show The Girl will be in last night. Ensemble rehearsals start next week and auditions are the following week. The Teen is loving college, his entertainment job, learning piano and writing a musical. Oh, to be young again. He might do the show with The Girl. He wants to play Pharaoh in Joseph. A GREAT role and a dream role for him but I am not sure how that will work with all the other stuff he has going on. As an adult in the production, he won’t be forced to do ensemble but I bet they will still try to get him to be ensemble too since they are so short on male actors.

I am ready for the end of the week. It has been a long one. So very long. I’m worried that by tomorrow, there will not be enough coffee to make me into a somewhat productive human.
The kids are doing well. School is just now beginning to heat up with homework and everything. Until yesterday, they were still in the honeymoon phase. I expect more growing pains and fights about lack of focus, but I remain optimistic it is going to be a good year. Competition team stuff doesn’t start for another few weeks, so that is helping a bit.
The Teen is learning the piano and writing a musical?!? Can you bottle his energy and send some to me? From what little I have seen him perform, he would make an amazing Pharaoh. I get chills just thinking what he could do with that role. You will definitely have to let me know what he decides. Has stress with The Girl settled a bit? How are you feeling lately? Recovered from all of the issues that plagued you earlier this year? (I feel like it has been forever since we talked!)
Packed with friends? Ugh!!! That sounds horrible. 😉 Although I know what you mean…especially if “packed.” I can take friends…in small doses. 🙂 Here a Fabulous Friday because I’m off for a four-day weekend and I’m able to catch up on some reading.
I say that because we have not seen these friends in 10 years, and they are staying with us for three days. To me, it has all the hallmarks of an awkward weekend, but my husband is excited. I’m looking forward to when they leave on Sunday so I too can spend the rest of the weekend reading! 😉
