We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- AUTUMN – Some of us may have been celebrating this since September 1st but Tuesday is the first official day of fall, and the weather has FINALLY turned cooler to reflect that. Bring on the sweaters, spiced drinks, fuzzy socks, and cozy blankets!
- FOOTBALL SEASON – With the start of the NFL season last Sunday, it is officially football season! I do love this sport. Now that I have the Badgers and the Packers to watch, my weekends are complete. Are you ready for some football?

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

I am just SO ready for football. My Saints are going to be terrible this year, and that makes me sad, but at the same time, I am just so happy to have football back on my TV. I’m watching a game between two teams I do not currently care about (Raiders/Falcons), and it is just heaven. Watching football is the best. How peaceful I feel.
I agree with you. It does not matter what game is actually on the TV just as long as it is on. It’s the best way to spend a fall/winter afternoon!
I can’t really get into fall until about this point – football is gearing up, the temps are finally cooler, and all of the talk of PSL is finally wearing me down!
I broke down and pulled out all of the fall decor yesterday. In addition to the weather and football and the food, it is my favorite color palate and compliments my wall colors better than any other time of year. It is the time of year I love my house so very much that I never want to leave it.
I already posted this on your other post, but I had a fabulous Friday because I got so many things done (and without panicking/being anxious about them) that older versions of Shaina would not have been able to handle. It felt like a serious self-growth day, and I am all about self-growth.
I get the feeling I’m going to be watching more football this year. Jai isn’t a huge fan in general, but he came a Broncos fan this year after one of our alma mater’s quarterbacks joined the team. I will do my best to prop up a book in front of my face whenever it’s on. 😉 But you enjoy it!
Reading and watching football are a great way to spend Sunday afternoons!
Yay for personal growth!
Happy Friday! I worked, had an interview for the job I’m working (ha!) and then went to a volunteer event that was overstaffed so I only stayed an hour. Then our wifi/cable was wonky and we got all frustrated when our movie wouldn’t ‘show’ nor could I get on the internet to do this fun stuff. So we went to bed! Now I’m up super early and on the PC ‘doing stuff’. Happy Weekend to you, “GO PACK”
Fingers crossed on the interview!!
I’m so happy football is back. And I busted out my tall black boots today because in my mind, it’s already fall!!
Have a great weekend!
I have not pulled out the boots yet. I got one of my foot tattoos redone earlier this month, and I am still waiting for it to heal completely before I can more to boots and Converse. I’m anxious to get there though!
Autumn started for me when I finally got my first Pumpkin Spiced Latte of the season! It is 6 degrees Celsius right now, though, so that also announces spring.
I love this weather. We have had our windows open for the past few weeks, and it has been heaven.
