We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- BIRTHDAY GIRL – Twelve years ago today, my baby girl came into this world. She has been an absolute delight from day one – full of smiles and love. She really does live up to her name. Just one look at her reminds me why I spend all of my time at dance events. She is just a pure joy to have in our lives. All she wants to do for her birthday is go shopping and spend time with me. I am really looking forward to that.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Our girls are getting so big. Mine was mistaken for a sophomore the other day at church. She got a kick out of that. Of course, the two inches she added over the summer helped with that. She is now about 5’6″ but closer to 5’7″ but I am in denial over it. She starts school this Thursday and will be taking the bus home with a friend. A little nervous but she hates the Boys and Girls club with a passion. The Teen starts his classes at the end of the month but he is not able to get math which is not good. Plus, he was moved to entertainment at Six Flags and it pays more than the internship, which has yet to start so who knows what will happen with that.
Work for me is kind of tedious these days. I can’t seem to find the motivation to get through the day.
Wow! She did shoot up! Mine has been catching the eye of high school boys now that she is running with the cross-country team. It drives her brother INSANE! I think he is going to punch one of his teammates if it continues – and you know he is only hearing a small portion of the chatter. It’s insane how big they are getting!
Interesting about the Teen and Six Flags. Would he turn down a chance to work on Hamilton though for a better-paying job? That’s a tough call! LOL!
I hear you about work. I have so much to do but just no motivation to do anything.
So cool that, at twelve, you’re the person she’d most like to spend her day with. Daughters are the best that way!
Yes, they are!
Hope she had a great birthday! How wonderful that she wanted to spend it with you. 🙂
Thanks, Kelly! I am so happy that she does want to spend it with me. I keep wondering how I got so lucky, since I never wanted to do this with my mother.
Happy birthday to your daughter. Enjoy your shopping time together.
Here? Fabulous because it’s the weekend and I’m not working. I have a few books from which to choose to read possibly. Other than that, no big plans.
Thanks, Bryan! Enjoy your quiet and non-working weekend!
What a gift for you mama! Happy Birthday to your girl! My fabulous weekend plans include snuggling with my small girl and raising her into an Olympics nerd 🙂 Have a great time!
It sounds like a perfect weekend to me; enjoy!!
