We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- LAZY SUMMER EVENINGS – I could get use to not having evening activities. It is like a whole new life. Being able to cook dinner and still find time for a walk are two of my favorite activities to do after work. Then, it’s sitting down with a book and knowing I have nowhere to go and nothing else to do until the morning. Ah…bliss.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Yep. I am already dreading the return of school. The Girl registers next week for 8th grade! It will probably be the hottest day too and we have to stand in long, long lines, etc. I’d volunteer for a fast pass but this year I am taking a friend of my daughter’s with us and they won’t let her use a fast pass if I do it so I will have to wait with the two of them. They start on 8/11. 8/11!!
My evenings of nothing-ness are definitely coming to an end. Lord, I dread homework.
Yep. Online registration is this week. The meeting for fall athletes in the first Sunday in August. Summer is most definitely at an end. I am so not ready for this.
Before you know it, the kids will be gone and all of your weeknights will be like that – and sometimes you’ll actually miss the hustle and bustle, mostly because it means you’re not getting to see your kids do so many great things and be such an important piece of their lives.
I know. I think because the kids are still extremely busy that I am okay with sitting home for now. The time is quickly approaching where this will not be an option again.
Yesss, yes, yes! I’m glad you’ve had some relaxing evenings when you could chill. <3
Thanks, Andi! It’s been wonderful.
Sounds like heaven. I am looking forward to a pretty lazy weekend. I just want to relax and read and have no plans besides running a race with my brother in the morning.
Enjoy your down time!!
Thanks! You too!
