We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- ADULT BALLET CLASS – Holly is not the only person who loves dance. I have always adored ballet, but I was never able to attend classes. However, being best friends with a dance instructor has its perks. So when we were talking about getting back in shape one day, she said she would teach me ballet as a way to strengthen my body and as an alternative to running or yoga. I was all for it once I clarified that I did not have to wear a leotard or tights and that it was okay I could not touch my toes. So, Tuesday was my first class. It was difficult and yes, I am sore, but I loved it so much. I look forward to taking it again all summer long!

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

You go with your dancing self! What a great way to do something you love and get in shape at the same time!
Thanks, Lisa!
I took ballet to correct a broken leg that was never treated. Interesting, huh? I was an adult. Okay, early 20s but that was the best shape I was in because of those classes. The lady was a graduate of the Joffrey Ballet and she whipped my butt into shape. I still have an awesome turnout even after all these years.
Oh, nice! I don’t think I will get to that point only because I am only doing the class one day a week. But nice to know that it is going to get me into shape!
That is so awesome! And sounds fun!
It was a ton of fun. I was extremely self-conscious as it was just the two of us, but I definitely worked hard and got all sweaty. I can’t wait to do it again next week!
Whoa. Are you going to do a split like James Brown? Sadly, all I can think about is that episode of The Office where Andy tried that…I’d probably end up like that. Ouch. 😉
Hahaha! Even Holly cannot do the splits yet, and she’s been working on it for years. I cannot even touch my toes, as sad as that is. If I can do that by the end of the summer, I would consider it a successful experiment.
Oh, Michelle! Good for you. So, that isn’t you in the second gif? LOL LOL
Watching that woman makes my back hurt. 😉
Oh, no! I can’t even touch my toes let alone bend like that! I know what you mean though. I keep looking at that gif wondering how she does it.
