FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
Genevieve Cogman’s debut novel is intriguing. I saw that the sequel will be released in September of this year. I am excited to see where the story goes.
Tiffany Reisz’ latest is a sexy and eyebrow-raising thriller with quite the unexpected ending. I really liked it, but I am really curious to find out what others think of it.

I’m frantically trying to finish LaRose before it falls due! Scramble, scramble. It’s a good book but not a quick read — I was hoping to be able to return it to the library tomorrow, and that may not happen. We’ll see! And after that I don’t know. I’m doing a new buddy read of old Iron Man comics with Renay from Lady Business, so perhaps I’ll get started reading those next. They’re verrrrry silly, which is of course great fun.
I so wanted to get a copy of LaRose. I just loved her previous book. I hope you were able to finish it in time!
Both look intriguing!
They were!
I have The Invisible Library and I started it right during the broken ankle drama. So, I have to read it in the right frame of mind because I was enjoying it!
Yes, do read it! I loved it!
I forgot to mention. King’s new book comes out tomorrow. I am checking the library for the ebook but so far it hasn’t been entered. Pretty exciting release day. Peter Geye’s book also comes out tomorrow. Lord have mercy I am trying my best to keep up.
I got King’s latest via Audible. Now, I just have to find time to listen.
I am plowing through Zero K by Don DeLillo. I am almost done. Probably have about 20% to go. It’s very cold and sterile. It’s interesting but it’s reminding me of many books at the moment. I need to see how it all comes together.
Oh, I’m glad you are reading it. It is one of those books I keep picking up and looking at because I feel like I should read it. However, there have been so many books entering this house in some format and not enough going out. My doubts are preventing me from adding to that.
You have me at Bourbon. I’ve actually not read anything by Tiffany Riesz, so maybe that will be my first.
I have to verify this with my archives, but I think it was my first Reisz book as well!
I’m really curious about The Bourbon Thief. Think I’d like it? Can’t wait to see what you think of The Perfect Neighbors. Enjoy!!
I don’t know. How do you feel about Flowers in the Attic? I think you would love it, but the ending might be a bit too much for you depending on that.
All new to me titles this week. I’m curious with Tiffany Reisz book.
It’s different. It reads a bit like an erotic thriller and then takes a completely weird turn that I don’t know is going to go over very well with the general public. Or maybe it will. I can’t decide. I liked it, but it wasn’t quite what I expected.
I want to hear more about this invisible library!
Crazy good fantasy! I can see it being very popular because, you know, a library!
I just finished The Invisible Thread by Laura Schroff and Alex Tresniowski. This isn’t the sort of book I normally read, but once I started I couldn’t put it down. I’m looking forward to reading Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein – I started a few pages a few weeks ago and I want to see where this story will go.
I love those unexpected reading successes! From what I have heard, you will enjoy Code Name Verity just as much!
I’m curious about The Bourbon Thief! Had never heard of it until now.
It was really good but a bit controversial. It is the type of novel I am anxious for others to read so that I can get their reactions to certain events.
