FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
Look at that cover for Ali Shaw’s latest. Isn’t it gorgeous? The book is just as amazing; I even enjoyed the magical realism.
The Carrie Firestone was one I selected for Holly at BEA but needed to read first to make sure it was appropriate. I am glad I did because it is definitely not appropriate. However, it is a decent story with a better message even if some of the prose is completely laughable.
As for the Kiersten White, you knew I would have to read any book that reimagines Vlad Dracul as a female, right? I loved every minute of this one. Can I have the sequel please?

Yay! I’m glad you liked And I Darken! I am excited for that one. I’m going to have to look up the Trees. I need some magical realism in my life.
It was really good! I now need the sequel because I want to see where she takes the story. I also really enjoyed The Trees. I haven’t heard much buzz about it, but I think it is the type of novel that is going to be a quiet success.
I hope you enjoy your books this week! The Invisible Library – need to check that out.
Thanks, Brandie! You too!
The Invisible Library looks intriguing. It’s so hard to resist any stories with libraries in them!
It was quirky, but I liked it!
