We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- MY BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEKEND – I should be in mourning. After all, I turn the big 4-0 on Sunday. However, I know Jim has something in the works involving friends, and I just cannot help but get excited about whatever surprises are in store. Plus, cake and presents! What is there not to love about a birthday, especially when it that falls on a weekend?
- MOTHER’S DAY – You know what? Moms work hard. We work damn hard. We care for our babies from the moment of conception until they leave the house and beyond. We blow noses and wipe butts. We dry tears and mend boo-boos. We cook, clean, do laundry, chauffeur, and every other domestic chore known to man. We spend hours of our lives waiting – in waiting rooms, at practices, up at night. We do this with love because they are our kids and that is what mothers do. So, in my opinion, mothers deserve more than just one day to celebrate them and everything they do. Until that happens, I will take my own day and take full advantage of it!
- MONTH-END IS OVER– I simultaneously love and hate the first week of the month. It means that I am never bored, but it also means long hours, dry eyes, and nightmares of spreadsheets for the week. There is nothing more satisfying than pushing send on the last report for the month.
- BOOK EXPO AMERICA– The move of BEA to Chicago this year means that after seven years of blogging, I am FINALLY going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to meet in person some of my friends and authors and publicists and just experience the whole week!
