We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- I MADE IT! – This was a rough week. New deadlines for month-end close had me working twelve+ hour day all week. I pulled a muscle or have a pinched nerve near my spine, which is causing all sorts of discomfort. I have not really seen my kids this week because I have been going home and all but falling into bed. The fridge is bare, as is the pantry. And I’m staring at a 14-15 hour day in an auditorium for another dance competition tomorrow. Yet, in spite of all of that, I made it through everything alive and kicking. Reports went out on time. We were able to find enough food for dinners and lunches. My back is getting better. I get an entire weekend with Holly. Things are definitely looking up.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Our Friday was spent visiting the in laws for spring break. We had a nice dinner and then my FIL passed away 🙁 A very sad spring break for us. We drive back for the funeral on Friday. But, I am so glad we had that dinner to visit a little.
I am so sorry, Ti! I wish I lived closer to be there for you, as I know you will be the one to support your husband and kids. Good luck and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!
I adore the optimism in this one. 🙂 I hope you had a great weekend!
Thanks, Shaina!
Lol, that Leo GIF is everything. Congrats on surviving the week, and I hope your weekend at dance is at least a bit enjoyable 🙂
Thanks, Kim! I seriously could use that Leo gif every single week. I try not to reuse them, but it is going to be tempting.
Congrats on surviving that week! Hope you’re enjoying your dancing weekend!
Thanks, Lisa!
So glad I stumbled on this, I was inspired to make a Fab Friday post of my own, and just that felt so affirming and rewarding. Thank you. Looking forward to these each week.
I am glad you stumbled on this too! I know these are wonderful ways for me to look on the bright side of life. We all need reminders of that every once in a while, right?
Hey, glad you’re alive and kicking anyway…and sorry about this weekend, but hope it’s fun anyway.
Thanks, Bryan!
You could so easily be in a bad mood after this week, but instead you’re looking at the positive side of it all, and that is so admirable! I’m glad this week is over for you. I hope all goes well with the competition this weekend! Hopefully you get some recovery time on Sunday?
Sunnie is still fighting a horrible cough, and we are set to get 4 inches of snow overnight (seriously, isn’t it April?! Ohio bites). So I plan to cozy up with her and enjoy hopefully the last weekend of using the fireplace for the ‘winter’. I’d rather not be out in the crappy cold weather, so I’m not complaining.
Oh, no rest this Sunday. This weekend’s competition ends around 11 PM on Sunday night. Thankfully, we will only be there until around 7 PM. Still, it is going to be a LONG weekend.
This weather blows, doesn’t it? I am so ready for warmer weather, and I love winter. It takes me a lot to say that I want hot temperatures!
