FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
I’m having fun reading through some books that have been languishing on my e-book TBR forever. The Shapiro novel was interesting. I loved the interplay between the pictures and the text. Speaking of love, why did I wait so long to read Laini Taylor’s series? It is all I can do to pace myself and not dive into the sequel right this minute. L. S. Hilton’s latest is my lone review copy this week. It continues my trend of reading about crazy people. I honestly have no idea what to think about it right now. As for Maureen Johnson, this was a re-read as I was going to read the third novel in the series but needed a refresher on what happened in the first two books. This is what happens when you read the beginning of a series and never go back to finish the series in a timely fashion.

I just put Name of the Star on my GR wishlist, though I don’t usually read YA, but if it has an interesting feel to it- Jack the Ripper, in this case- I might enjoy it.
And my eldest read Daughter of Smoke and Bone when it released and recommended it to me, but I haven’t picked it up yet. Still, I never say never to almost any genre so thanks for mentioning them. Enjoy your week ahead.
The Shades series is so good. You should definitely give it a try.
I listened to Daughter of Smoke and Bone when it first came out, and loved it all much, but decided to wait until the whole series was out before continuing. Guess I can do that now.

Oh I’m glad you liked Daughter of Smoke & Bone! I loved the first two – for some reason I just haven’t gotten to the last book. There’s a short story too that is supposed to be excellent.

That Taylor series is so very good!! Stays good all the way through, too. And did you know that Johnson series will have a fourth book?? I got to the end of the third and freaked out a little, haha!

I have had Daughter of Smoke & Bone on my TBR forever. Gah. I need to read it, but I don’t feel like getting sucked into a series right now. I’m glad to know how much you liked it, though! I’ll keep it on my list.
