We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- The First Dance Competition of 2016 – It is that time of year again. It is time to sit in a darkened theater with music blasting at the same levels as at a rock concert. It is listening to the same songs over and over again. It is very late nights and early, early mornings. It is watching for pointed toes, arm and leg extensions, facial expressions, and overall synchronicity. It is fighting with your daughter about hair and false eyelashes and food. It is making sure she stays hydrated and as well-rested as possible. It is cheering on the other 38 members of the team and bonding with the other mothers as we all face the same situations. Bring it on.

What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

I noticed (think I did before but don’t always read the post first on your blog) that you have a Mister Linky on this post. I think I’d like to start linking here each Friday, because it’s good to remember the good things in my life each week, what makes it fabulous. For me, this past week I think what made my Friday fabulous, maybe like other Fridays, is that it was Friday and my work week was done. Not that it’s been particularly bad, just that it’s over and I can relax, not thinking about it.
So when is this first dance competition? This weekend? How did the young ladies do, if it was this weekend? If not, how are the practices going?
I meant to send you a note but by all means use Mister Linky. That was my intention anyway when I added it. I want other to find the good things to celebrate each week and not just the weekend.
The first competition was the weekend of March 4th through 6th. The girls did really well in their performances and had a blast in their dance classes as well. Now, we have a break until the first weekend in April.
Good luck to all of the girls! I hope they had fun!
Thanks, Kelly! It was a pretty good weekend all around.
That’s exciting! I hope Holly’s performance went well.
Thanks, Stephanie! The weekend was exhausting but a success!
I love how much you support Holly, even when things seem like they get hellish! She’s lucky to have you. 🙂
Happy weekend!
Thanks, Shaina! If you saw the light in her eyes while she danced, you would understand how I am really helpless to say no when it comes to dance. That joy – it is a rare and special thing that you do not see in a lot of kids’ activities.
Good luck to Holly! I’m waiting for something fabulous to stumble upon for the weekend.
Oh, I hope you were able to find something!
Oh what fun, HA. I couldn’t put my daughter in dance and relive my life, I didn’t want to be that ‘crazy mom’. hahahahaha so we chose gymnastics which she loves. That wasn’t my life so I get to enjoy, watch and not be critical.
Good luck to her. I’m giggling at the eyelashes, makeup, food etc discussions. Oh yes…….
It’s an experience. I love it and loathe it at the same time. Yet, no matter how much I complain, watching her on stage – any stage – will make me sign up for everything and anything that will bring such joy to her face.
Good luck to Holly and all of the girls!! I hope it all goes fabulously.
Thanks, Brandie!
