FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
The week started with a dud. The premise of Will McIntosh’s newest novel seemed interesting, but the execution left a lot to be desired. However, Fiona Barton’s novel definitely made up for it, as it is one that keeps you guessing until the very end.

Oooo, I don’t think I’ve heard about The Blue Hour, but that cover is gorgeous. Hope it’s just as good inside!
It definitely is just as good as the cover. I really do love Douglas Kennedy and think he doesn’t get enough attention.
Right now I’m at the end of The Wright Brothers book. I think I could be interested in hearing about Washington’s life too.
Is that McCullough’s latest? How is it?
The Swans of Fifth Avenue. At least 2/3 are good for the week.
Enjoy! It isn’t my favorite Benjamin novel, but it certainly has its appeal.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying Washington! I want to listen to that one, whenever I get Hamilton finished. lol
Ha! And I will be switching to Hamilton when I finish Washington!
I bought my dad the Hamilton book by Chernow. I’m hoping he loves it and then returns it to me. I’m reading The Perfect Son by Barbara Claypole White.
I bought the Hamilton book for my husband, but I suspect I will get to it before he does!
I look forward to your thoughts on Widow. To bad on the other.
Thanks, Marce! The other one was an unsolicited YA. I don’t feel too bad about thinking it a dud. I’m just impressed I kept reading it.
I need my library list to start moving so I can request the Widow! I am looking forward to that one.
I can’t wait for others to start reading it. I suspect it is going to be very popular!
I enjoyed the Widow. I will look forward to reading your review. Have a great week.
Thanks, Pat! I’m excited to write it. Now, I just have to figure out what I want to say.
I’m hearing good things about The Widow. I’ll be reading it at some point, I’m sure.
You are going to hear more good things about The Widow. It has bestseller written all over it!
I’m really glad to see you liked The Widow!! I’m hoping to read that one soon. I’m loving any kind of suspense right now. Just finished the new Harlan Coben over the weekend and it was fantastic.
This is the second time this morning I’ve seen The Blue Hour, so I’m going to check it out. I hope you’re enjoying it!
The Widow is excellent. Chilling and actually rather sad. I am thoroughly loving The Blue Hour. It only confirms my opinion that Douglas Kennedy is one hell of a writer!
Ooh – I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on The Blue Hour! I saw it in the catalogs and it looked interesting, then never added it to my list.
I fell in love with Douglas Kennedy a few years ago but have sadly never read another one of his books until now. I am happy to report that it is living up to its expectations and then some!
