FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
I finished two very different books but thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Iain Pears’ novel is an odd bit of fantasy, which means I loved it. It also means I can see a lot of people scratching their heads and wondering what the hell is happening. As for the new Ariel Lawhon, it is simply amazing. She has thoroughly outdone herself. Go read it now.

CURRENT LISTEN:
I *may* have gotten distracted by listening to the Broadway soundtrack of “Hamilton” this week. However, after listening to it all week, now I want to learn more about Washington’s views of Hamilton, so I will get back to this one this week.
UP NEXT:
Whatever I want.
So, what are you reading?

Me: You should blog hop more.
My pocket book: No,you really shouldn’t.
lol
I have been meaning to read Iain Pears for a while. This might be the time!
Go for it!! I need someone else to read it and tell me if I am crazy for enjoying it so much.
Ooo, I’ve been super curious about Arcadia, so I’m glad to hear it’s weird AND you loved it.
I love weird though, so perhaps mine is not the best opinion! LOL!
I think it would be so interesting to compare how Chernow portrays Washington and Hamilton in the other’s book as opposed to their own. Enjoy your books!
So far, Chernow is pretty excited whenever Hamilton enters the scene. I am just now to the point where Hamilton became his chief aide-de-camp, so I have plenty more Hamilton in Washington’s future.
Ooh, I love that you’re going the route of reading a Washington biography! I’m listening to the Alexander Hamilton audio book right now and very much enjoying it, but Chernow DEFINITELY has a major crush on Hamilton. I’m wondering how it’s getting in the way of his objectivity.
Also, the cover for Arcadia is gorgeous, and “odd fantasy” sounds way up my alley. Off to investigate!
I am beginning to think Chernow has a crush on all of his main subjects. He certainly has a man crush on Washington. Is it impacting his objectivity? It is difficult to say because Washington was pretty spectacular.
Ha! Whatever I want! Love it!
I really want to read Washington after I finish Alexander Hamilton. After a nice, healthy break. LOL
I hear you on the break. I plan to take a break before I dive into the Hamilton biography.
All new books and authors to me this week. I never realized how much you enjoyed fantasy.
I didn’t either until I went on this huge fantasy kick. Go figure!
Glad you enjoyed your books last week! I read 3 books and shocked the hell out of myself!! Probably jinxing myself now.
Three novels in one week is fantastic! Keep it up!
Yay – I’m so glad to hear Ariel Lawhon’s novel is great – I’ve got it waiting for me on my Kindle! Hoping to start it soon!
Enjoy once you do start it! She is becoming one of my favorite historical fiction novelists!
