My It’s Monday, What Are You Reading
Thanks, Elizabeth! Both were excellent!
These look like interesting nonfiction reads. I’ve always been intrigued by the Salem Witch trials.
I highly recommend them!
I hope you’re enjoying The Guest Room. I haven’t read anything by that author, but have seen lots of readers like his books.
LOVED it!!
Oh, I adored On Immunity. I hope you did too!
I did! I thought some of the comparisons and analogies were fascinating!
The Witches looks a bit like The Crucible – enjoy your books this week!
Well, The Crucible is based on what happened in Salem. Witches is just an unbiased look at those events from an excellent nonfiction author.
Oooh – I can’t wait to start The Guest Room..it’s waiting for me on my Kindle and Catherine at Gilmore Guide said good things about it. Plus, I love Bohjalian!
Yep! Every bit as good as expected!
Fates and Furies is next for me and then The Guest Room. Excited for both of them.
Enjoy!
I am going to read Chris Bohjalian’s new book soon….I know it will be good, because well it’s him.
I’ve been in an awful funk…I must overcome this crap!
Well, that will do it. Such a good book even as it is so intense and downright depressing at times!
Have you read Sarah Vowell before? I’ve been meaning to read something of hers for a while.
I have. I listened to the one about Hawaii and loved it. I have been meaning to get back to her books, so this was the perfect opportunity to do so!
Nice looking books. I’m trying to read a few of my own books too before the next crop of review books appear. Here is what I did last week. Happy reading
It is always a delicate balancing act, isn’t it?
I read Lafayette in the Somewhat United States and thought it was great but the audio sounds SO fun with all those guests!
I love listening to Sarah Vowell’s books via audio. Not only does she add her dry wit to it but her cast of special narrators always makes it worthwhile!
I really want to read The Witches! Hope you enjoyed it.
I did! It was very interesting, albeit a bit slow at times.
Hello, hello! Oh my word, I really want to read both Witches and On Immunity. Heck, I want to read your current read and current listen as well.
Darn it. This is why I rarely comment on blogs anymore. My poor TBR pile can’t take it, ha.
Have a good week!
LOL! Goodness knows you have contributed to my TBR pile with your selections. All’s fair in love and war, after all!
