Happy Sunday! It is sunny and warmish outside. I am not complaining per se, but I do think this weather a bit odd for the middle of November. Still, it is nice to get some fresh air throughout the house before we have to lock it down for the winter.
It was a typical week for us all. Jim was on yet another business trip until Thursday. Connor had Forensics practice and even started attending the winter cross-country practices with some of the other members of the team. Holly had her typical dance classes. This weekend, however, saw her add another dance class on Saturday and a rehearsal this afternoon. Plus, now that her tap teacher is back off of maternity leave, she will have another rehearsal on Friday evenings as well. We knew the schedule was going to get worse in November, and that day is finally here. Fun times!
As for me, I have been swamped with budgets and month-end reporting. My manager has been out on medical leave, so there is no one else to help. Between that and all of the meetings I attend these days, the workday is over almost before I know it. Then again, it makes for rather intense and mentally exhausting days.
I have been reading though and still continue to write as much as possible. There is not much else getting done these days, but reading keeps me sane and relaxes me so it has taken priority over some of the other hobbies I would like to start up again. In case you missed them this week, I posted my weekly reading summary, reviews of House of Thieves by Charles Belfoure, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, and What If? by Randall Munroe. I finished off the week with the usual Fabulous Friday and What’s For Dinner.
There is no rest for the weary, and that means me. Holly has dance in a bit, and I definitely need to hit the grocery store. There is football to watch and laundry to fold. It will all get done; it always does. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I wish everyone a great week to come!

Both footballs teams of Denver (mine) & Packers (yours) seem to be in a tailspin the last couple of weeks which makes for harsh Sundays. I hope we can rebound. 🙂
If this trend continues, I may not like Sundays anymore.
This weather is bizarre. I don’t mind that it’s nice – just my sinuses aren’t a fan. I need it to stay one temp.
Sounds like you’re going to be super busy for awhile. I hope you at least get to keep reading for that much needed stress relief!
Have a great week, Michelle!
I understand completely. I have had a headache for the past seven days. Some days it is more mild than others, but it is the headache that will not go away until the weather stabilizes a bit more. I hope this week will finally see us hit some really November weather and freeze all the mold that is also killing my sinuses right now.
Busy is the key word. We just keep building on H’s already crazy schedule. Every month is the addition of something new.
Our weather was frigid cold this past weekend and very cold and windy now.
Tonight is that Winner’s Circle performance that we have to attend. It’s far away. Two hours in traffic and will not start until 8 pm so it will be a long, long night for sure. It’s at a historic theater which is way cool but they both have to go to school tomorrow so I’m sure they will be grumpy come Tuesday.
You absolutely have to send me a note to let me know how the kids do. I will be waiting with bated breath!!
Your life never seems to slow down, does it? But I’m glad that reading is helping keep you sane.
Today, I’m staying sane by watching Netflix (CSI Miami) since I have a cold and don’t feel like reading right now. I do have a lot of books from which to choose, even a few checked out from the library, though, so when I do feel better, I’ll get to them.
Never. Things should get quieter in two years when one of the kids is officially out of the house. Then again, my youngest will be in eighth grade, and who knows what activities she will want to do then.
I hope your cold passes quickly and you feel better soon!
