I used to do this post and got away from it for whatever reason. This makes me sad because we should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. Also, what better day on which to do this than Fridays? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- Standard Time – I really dislike Daylight Savings Time. It throws my body out of whack, and I really struggle getting up each and every morning. Yet, for four months out of every year, when Daylight Savings Time goes away and we get back to regular standard time, I am happy. I have no problems getting out of bed. I have more energy. You will never hear me complain about the evenings being dark. I finally feel normal again.
- Bookshelves – Guys, they are being delivered today. Today! Granted, they still need to be installed, but I just might have my library before the end of the weekend!!!
What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

Ugh, I hate the end of Daylight Savings Time – it’s dark when I get up, it’s dark when I get home from work, and I feel like going to bed at 9 pm. Thank god for windows at work!
Eh. To each her own, I guess.
Oh my gosh – we’re on opposite ends the spectrum with standard time! I can’t stand it getting dark by 5:00…maybe b/c I have young kids and it limits our afternoon outdoor activities, which makes life much more difficult!
Perhaps. I have always been a fan of standard time, even with young kids, especially because it means you can get them to bed a bit earlier and easier when it is already dark. 🙂
I’m not a morning person so prefer Daylight Savings Time to be honest.
For me, Fabulous Friday? Naturally, wings (and booze 🙂 ), but also that it’s my nephew’s ninth birthday this weekend (tomorrow is his birthday).
Eh, to each his own.
I hope you had a wonderful time at your nephew’s party!
I have been able to get up a lot easier in the morning this week. I never considered it could be the time change!
Yay for bookshelves! Can’t wait to see you post pictures!
See? Everyone always disses the time change, but come spring when we lose that hour, I will no longer be a happy morning person like I am now.
yay for bookshelves!
My daughter turned 5 yesterday (sob!) and we’re having a party tomorrow. So much to celebrate and a super happy kid. So glad its Friday!
I hope your daughter had a wonderful party and that you survived with little mess and no drama!
It’s been a rough week for me. It’s a FAB Friday just because I survived the week.
I like Standard time more than DST but it takes me some time to adjust to the dark evenings.
I get the dark evenings adjustment but to me, the mornings more than make up for them.
I know those weeks. I have had a few of them myself lately. I figure you all would get tired if I just kept putting that every week!
