I used to do this post and got away from it for whatever reason. This makes me sad because we should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. Also, what better day on which to do this than Fridays? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- Thankfully Reading Weekend– This event, hosted by Jenn, is a great way to spend this long weekend. Not only do you avoid the crazy crowds, but in a way, it brings to the fore exactly what this holiday is all about – being grateful for the things you have. It is also a great excuse to sit at home and read for several days.
- Thanksgiving– It might not be my favorite holiday, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it. A day spent eating mashed potatoes and a variety of pies is worth every minute in my book! Plus, leftovers. And pie for breakfast. Mmmm…pie.
What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

I love these posts. We didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving this year, and I feel cheated out of my turkey sandwiches and pie. 🙂
Thanks, Stephanie! I always hate traveling to family for the holidays because it means no leftovers. There is something about a piece of pie in the morning that just epitomizes the holidays!
Leftovers are the best part. I had dessert for breakfast.
Enjoy your reading weekend! I hate shopping and crowds, so I’m definitely staying home and enjoying the relaxing weekend. I’m trying to get some reading in too.
Mmm…pie. I have so many leftovers, I am slightly embarrassed. It’s okay though. I know they will get eaten eventually.
Thankfully Reading Weekend, check.
Thanksgiving, check.
Yep, you about have it covered…well, except for the wings that I’ll be having later today, but of course. 🙂
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Michelle.
It wouldn’t be Friday without your wings! Have a wonderful weekend, Bryan!
