I used to do this post and got away from it for whatever reason. This makes me sad because we should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. Also, what better day on which to do this than Fridays? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- Friday the Thirteenth– I have this thing about Friday the Thirteenth. Usually that is one of my better days in a month. Something good always happens on that date. Perhaps because Jim and I got married on a Friday the Thirteenth? Who knows! All I do know is that the date makes me happy, and that is enough for me.
- Harry Potter– On Tuesday, I received my preordered copy of the absolutely gorgeous Harry Potter coloring book. On Wednesday, I used the coloring book as an inspiration on the addition to my HP tattoo on my shoulder. This weekend, I plan to get busy with said coloring book and immerse myself into the cathartic world of coloring. Sometimes, reverting back to one’s childhood is not only possible but completely necessary.
What makes this a Fabulous Friday for you?

I think I need that coloring book! What do you think about it so far?
It’s gorgeous. I am actually afraid to color in it because I don’t want to mess it up.
I’m not superstitious BUT I’m glad that I didn’t have to work today nonetheless so that made it a fabulous Friday for me. 🙂 It would be more fabulous if I didn’t have to work tomorrow, BUT I do have Thanksgiving Week off and am looking forward to that. AND I read a book today so all in all, not a bad day.
Not working on a Friday is enough reason to celebrate!
I’ll be interested in your thoughts on the HP coloring book. I haven’t gotten an up-close glance at it yet.
It is beautiful. It is not the same quality as the Joanna Bosford ones, but it is still very nice.
LOVE that you got another tattoo. So awesome. I have my next one in mind and hope to get it in the next few months. Can’t wait!
I love Friday the 13th. My husband was born on a Friday the 13th. 🙂
Enjoy your weekend! I hope it’s relaxing!
Thanks, Brandie! I keep tweaking the ones I have, adding embellishments or touching up where it did not heal cleanly. I suspect I will be adding to the HP tattoo next spring. She left plenty of room for a snitch after all!
So, are you going to share your idea or just take pictures once it is done?
I’ll take pictures afterwards for sure and share. I know what I want – the quote “She believed she could, so she did” with a running girl figure at the end. I want it on my foot. I’ve found a few examples online, I just need to take them to the tattoo place to have one drawn up that I’m happy with.
Very cool!
A Harry Potter coloring book??? Happy Friday indeed 🙂
Absolutely! It is gorgeous too. I am almost afraid to color in it!
