I used to do this post and got away from it for whatever reason. This makes me sad because we should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. Also, what better day on which to do this than Fridays? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.
- Flannel – That’s right, folks. Flannel is back in a big way, and I for one am loving every minute of it. I lived in flannel shirts in college. Not only does this fashion trend make me feel 20 years younger, there is nothing better on a chilly fall day that donning a flannel shirt over a long-sleeved tee and enjoying the warmth. I suspect my family may get sick of me wearing the same few shirts over and over again this fall, but I really don’t care. I will be warm and cozy and reliving my college years.

Flannel is THE BEST. I could really use some, now that it’s starting to get super cold out.
Also, I’ve never seen the movie that that Brad Pitt GIF comes from, but it’s still one of my favorite GIFs.
I am wearing a flannel as I type this. I may just sleep in it too. So comfy.

I am not allowed to use flannel bedsheets. Jim gets too hot. Otherwise, I would be all over those too.

I love good mail days. They make receiving bills and junk mail so worth it.

What makes this a fabulous Friday? Really? Do I even need to answer? LOL. Getting out of this building, for one.
I did see a weather shift last night. Destructive mud flows that buried a major freeway and is causing all sorts of grief but it’s a change from 100 degree weather and maybe a sign of the wretched weather we are supposed to get this year.
Well, for a while you couldn’t find a decent flannel anywhere. The sheer abundance of it these days makes me so happy. Leaving the office on a Friday afternoon is always a cause for celebrating, isn’t it?
I am so worried about you and what this winter will be like for you guys. SoCal seems to be the place to go for extreme weather these days.
Yes!! I’ve purchased two new flannel shirts from Target, and I love them. So comfy. People will probably get sick of seeing me wear them, but whatever.
I love Clueless. One of my favorite movies ever. It never gets old.

I have been living in flannel on the weekends. And on casual Fridays. Even better, Holly has gotten into the spirit of the trend and wears just as much as I do. I personally don’t care if I look ridiculous or not. I have been lamenting the lack of flannel for the past ten years. You are going to have to peel it off my cold dead body now that it is back.
