CURRENT LISTEN:
I actually made some progress on this. Less than half the book left to finish.
UP NEXT:
I’ve been alternating book roulette with review copies. It’s been fun and slightly exciting to finally get to some books that have been languishing on my shelves for years.
So, what are you reading?

It really is fun to finally tackle books from the TBR pile we’ve had building up for years, isn’t it? I have been enjoying it myself this year. Atlas Shrugged is one of those books I want to eventually tackle. How was House of Thieves? It looks interesting.
I am so loving hitting some of those books that have been languishing for half a decade or more. It makes me feel more accomplished than finishing a long list of review copies. House of Thieves was okay. I think Belfoure’s first novel was much better.
I’m impressed that you are reading Atlas Shrugged again. Once was good for me. I have to clean out my shelves and actually read the ones I’ve been meaning to read.
I liked AS a lot the first time. I wanted to see if it held up for me a second time around. It did.
How did you like House of Thieves?
ENJOY your reading week.

My It’s Monday, What Are You Reading
I liked it although I thought his first book was much better.
What’s House of Thieves about? I just finished & discussed Station Eleven and loved it.
It’s about – get this – thieves. It’s actually pretty decent if a bit predictable.
I do the same. In the middle or quarter way through about four books.
Nice. Anything good?
I’m curious about City On Fire too. Saw something about it recently and was interested. I’ll watch for your thoughts on it.
I am liking it but it is slow-going. I wouldn’t expect anything less than that though from such a big book.
You’ve got quite the array of chunksters going on right now! What do you think of City on Fire so far? I have it on my floor from BEA, but am waiting to get the e-book. I haven’t read an actual hard copy book in years and I’m thinking a 900+ page doorstop is not the place to start!
It’s a bit slow, honestly. The timeline is very fluid too, which makes each chapter a bit of a challenge. There is a part of me that wants to DNF it, but I am too intrigued to stop altogether. I will just end up wondering what happened. So, I will continue albeit slowly.
Oh you’re the first person I’ve seen reading City on Fire. Very curious to see how it goes!
I’m balancing Speed Kings with China Rich Girlfriend. All good stuff!
City on Fire is intimidating. I hope to make good progress on it this week.
I have heard nothing but good things about Speed Kings. Enjoy!
Also very curious about this one! Intimidating because of length, subject matter?
Length. It is a long book and requires careful reading.
