It’s been a slow reading week, not because the books I’m reading aren’t good. In fact, they are excellent. I have just had absolutely no time. It sucks.
FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:

This is a re-read for me as part of the #AtlasRAL. I have to say that I am enjoying it even more via audio than I did in print. I’ve been listening while I exercise, so it is going to be slow-going. However, I love every minute of it.

Who knows? I’m playing it fast and loose these days, and I like it. I especially like pulling some oldies off the shelf.
So, what are you reading?

I’ve never read anything by Jennifer McMahon but I keep seeing her name thrown around. And glad you’re enjoying Atlas Shrugged even more via audio! Did you like it the first time around in print? I’ve always wanted to tackle one of her books but the timing wasn’t great for me. Hard to commit to those beasts of books when I read so slowly!
I LOVED Atlas Shrugged the first time I read it. There is something about the story line that speaks to my liberal tendencies. Plus, I adore Dagny Taggart. She is one kick-ass woman!
Looking forward to The Night Sister, planning to buy it, couldn’t finish the e galley in time. I really like her books!
I do too. You definitely need to finish it.
Kudos to you for doing Atlas Shrugged as an audiobook – that seems like it would take some dedication! I’ve been choosing at whim from what comes in the mail and the library lately and it’s definitely made for more happy reading.
So many people are reading what they like, I can’t tell if it is just a summer thing or another change in the blogosphere. It is an interesting trend; I wonder if the publishers and marketing firms notice it.
I haven’t heard of Night Sister but that cover has me hooked. Off to check that out. I’m finishing Pirate Hunters- I’m so into it!
I highly recommend any of Jennifer McMahon’s novels. They are well-written, suspenseful, and atmospheric!
I’ve read a couple of things about The Fold recently and am definitely interested. And I’ll be reading The Night Sister soon. My reading is slow……at least right now. Hopefully, it will pick up soon. Too much else going on. And I love the fact that you are playing it ‘fast and loose’. 😉
The Fold was EXCELLENT! Scary but interesting and just very different. The science geek in me loved every minute of it.
It does suck when there’s no time to read. I hope you have more time to enjoy your books this week. What do you think of The Night Sister so far? I started it last week, but I’m not very far yet. It definitely has my attention, though. My first book by this author, too.
I’m really enjoying The Night Sister, but I am so exhausted each night that I don’t think I’m reading more than 10 pages before passing out. My goal is to enjoy a leisurely lunch and try to get further into it. I think you will like Jennifer McMahon. All of her novels are excellent!
