I have the Book of Speculation waiting for me and I’m HOPING to get to it…you know how that goes. I’ll be interested in what you have to say about the Pekkanen.
Misery! 😀 I know we both finished it yesterday. Great stuff!
I’m almost to The Book of Speculation. I cannot wait! As for Sarah’s latest, sigh. I fear I am slated to love every third novel of hers. The rest just annoy me. I love her so much, which makes me lack of love for her books so frustrating.
I can only hope our next King readalong is as outstanding as Misery. That is one hell of a book!
Yeah I got a copy of Tiny Little Thing too. Might be good for summer! I finally finished All the Light We Cannot See and now need to read Everything I Never Told You for book club! How was the Daylight Marriage?
Beatriz Williams’ novels are always perfect summer reads. I really enjoyed The Daylight Marriage too. It keeps you engaged.
Happy reading this week! I can not wait to start Every Last Word. I have never read a Pekkanen book…but I do love that cover…
I will be anxiously awaiting to hear what you think about the Stone novel. As for one of Sarah’s, I would HIGHLY recommend Skipping a Beat. That was hands-down my favorite novel of hers.
Nice list of books.
Thanks! I’m excited to get to them!
Oh I need to read the Daylight Marriage and I’m excited to read Tiny Little Thing eventually! I’m reading the Bookseller which I’m not quite sure about yet
I’m really excited about Tiny Little Thing. Beatriz Williams is quickly becoming a tour de force and a must-read author. I’m excited to start The Bookseller via audio. I hope it is good!
Quite a variety! I keep going back and forth on whether I want to read Mother of Eden or not. I enjoyed Dark Eden, but it’s been so long that I don’t remember a whole lot. I hate that about series.
I’m listening to Book of Life by Deborah Harkness and Rebecca by du Maurier on audio – both excellent. In print, I’m reading The Historian (for the first time – now I get it), Luckiest Girl Alive (can’t remember the author, and not sure how I feel about it yet), and The Forest Lover by Susan Vreeland, which is really good.
Ah, such bookish goodness you have listed here. I need to re-read Book of Life via audio. I’ve done that with the other two and have already read the last book. It’s just so good! Rebecca has always been one of my favorite books. Even when you know what is going to happen, it never fails to thrill or chill you. As for The Historian, what can I say? I’m due for another re-read or re-listen of that one as well. Since I listened to Dracula last year, I think this year will be The Historian. Yes, I do try to alternate those two but read at least one of them once a year.
I’ve heard good things about Jessica Knoll’s Luckiest Girl Alive – so much so that I ended up buying a copy. As for Mother of Eden, it takes place 200 years after Dark Eden. I’m hoping that means there will be lots of explanation to remind readers of key points of the original story. We shall see.
I’m excited to try The Book of Speculation–heard so many good things!
Me too! I have it as my next book to read; I can’t wait!
