I’m back, baby! The auditors are gone. The dance competition season is essentially over. The kids are now on spring break. I think I finally have things under control for the first time in months. If not, I am at least in a much better mental state than I was a month ago and therefore in a much better state to handle anything I cannot control.
I want to thank each and every one of you who left comments supporting me. Those comments mean so much to me. I do not have a lot of IRL friends, and do not have someone who will meet me for coffee/wine or help me pick up the pieces of my crumbling sanity. As weird as it may sound, your comments and virtual support did just that. They – and you – provided me solace in what was undoubtedly a very low point in my life. There are not enough words to express my thanks and gratitude for your friendships. I suppose I should say virtual friendships, but they are more real to me than anything I have had in my adult life or longer. I dream of the day I can call up one of you to vent or gossip or just share our days, meet you for lunch, go shopping, attend parties, and other stuff real friends do. I would be so honored to do that with any of you because you seriously all rock. Thank you, and I love you all!

Glad you’re back Michelle and that things are going better. Hooray just in time for spring!
Thanks, Susan! I’m sure the warmer and sunnier weather is having a positive impact on my mood.
Ah! Happy times, huh? Makes me want to dance a jig.
Hey, are your dance competitions anything like the ones on Dance Moms?? My daughter just started to watch that show and Bring It! and we laugh… I remember my competition cheer days and I say they are pretty spot on as far as the parents go.
You know? We’ve never watched that show. Everyone asks that though, so I suppose I need to watch it to compare. I will say that dance competitions are just odd, and the mothers are too.
Aw, Michelle! Your post is so sweet, and I’m so happy things are going better for you!
Some of my dearest friends I found through blogging – it’s a great support system we have! I adore you and am glad I found your blog!
Glad things have calmed down and I hope you have a great week!
Thank you so much, Brandie! I am so glad we found each other! I wish we had done it sooner when I was still living in Ohio!
Awwww, I’m so glad things are looking up for you and that you’re feeling more sane, more like yourself. I would love to meet for a glass of wine sometime – if anything every brings you to Spokane, Washington, it’s a date!
Absolutely! How are you doing? Are you excited about your new job tomorrow?
I was excited, and still am! I had my first week (I only work Tues thru Thurs) and absolutely loved it. I knew it was a job I could do, knew it would help us financially, but had no idea how much I would enjoy having being at work again.
That’s wonderful!! I am so excited for you! Keep me posted.
