Hosted by Sheila from Book Journey, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. To learn more about each book, just click on the book cover!
Finished Last Week:
Excellent. Stupid. Interesting. That sums up my week in reading. M. O. Walsh’s novel just may be one of my favorites of the year. It is just so gorgeously written; I actually found myself bookmarking passages because I found them so beautiful, something I never do. It turns out that I do not like Trent Maddox as much as I love Travis Maddox. The ending left me wishing I could scrub the entire book from my brain. Arwen Elys Dayton’s novel was different but in a good way. I really enjoyed the themes of the novel and like how she managed to end the story without a cliffhanger but still left me wanting to find out what happens next.
Did Not Finish:
I think I figured out a new method for reading my e-galleys before they expire. Let’s hope this category stays empty for a long time.

I haven’t decided yet.
Up Next:
What are you reading?

I look forward to hearing what you think of the Stardust book. thanks
I was impressed with it; unfortunately, it is going to be a while before I get a chance to write my thoughts on it.
My Sunshine Away 😀 Sigh, sooooo lovely.
LOVED every minute of that one. Horrible topic but I can’t think of a book with more arresting sentences.
I just added A Touch of Stardust to my to-read list. It looks like so much fun!
It was a lot of fun. I was quite surprised and very glad.
I’m not sure what to listen to next, either. Do I jump into a long one that I attempted once and need to start again at the beginning? or do I go find another new to me audio or ??? I can’t decide! Actually I’m just mad that the book I want to listen to doesn’t have an audio version.
I do want to read that Violets one. I think I already have it on my tbr. (scurries off to go check)
OH! yes, Caroline Lee does excellent on The Husband’s Secret! 🙂
I can’t decide either, although I have many books in my queue waiting for me. Decisions, decisions.
I’m sorry Beautiful Oblivion was a dud. I hope whatever you read next is a good one! Have a great week!
That ending!!! Seriously? I thought the Maddoxes were a close family, but the fact that Trent was okay with it and that no one in the family knew? It’s just so wrong.
Look forward to your review of My Sunshine Away
It is going to be a difficult review to write because I loved it so much.
Can’t wait to get my hands on My Sunshine Away, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I saw A Memory of Violets the other day, but didn’t pick it up (my tbr pile is exploding exponentially!). I’ll be looking forward to your review on that one.
My Sunshine Away is AMAZING. Seriously one of the best books of the year. I hope you can get your hands on a copy soon!
