Wow, some interesting choices there!
My eclectic side really came out when selecting October releases, didn’t it?
A rep sent me the audio for Big Driver (King) the other day and I have been listening to it during my work commute and although I am not a fan of reading about rape, this book is terrifying and riveting all at the same time. I guess the Lifetime movie hits on the 18th? I hope to finish it before I watch.
Really? I seem to be concentrating on his first few novels and his most recent ones. I’d like to get around to filling in that middle period one of these days. They do make for great audiobooks though, so I’m enjoying every one of them.
Wow, all of these seem intriguing!
I hope so!
I got Salems Lot last week thinking I’d finally read a King book. It sounds good, the length intimidates me.
Don’t let the length intimidate you at all. His books always move quickly. I even found ways to increase my listening time just to be able to continue the experience.
Oh I am so curious about Gretel and the Dark. I just started the Silkworm which I’m really excited about!
I’m upset because they archived the e-galley before I got a chance to read it. I was REALLY looking forward to that one too. Gah, I need to read faster!!
Okay good, I’m very curious how you like Paolo’s new book because I liked his first one The Solitude of Prime Numbers quite a bit. I wonder if I should get this one too. thanks.

I still have not gotten around to reading Paolo’s first novel, but I thought this one was very good. I’m even more anxious to go back and read the first one now!
Sadly, the only one on your list is Salem’s Lot, which I’ve read, but not listened to. Have you read it as well?
Here are the books I’m currently working through:
Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles
Miguel de Cervantes’ Don Quixote
Robert Crumb’s The Book of Genesis
Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner
Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses
Dawn Kostelnik’s The White Girl
That’s quite the list! I’m very impressed. Tess of the D’Urbervilles is one of my all-time favorites, even if it is one of the most depressing novels one will ever read. I hope you enjoy them all!
