Oh my word, you’ve got some gorgeous looking reads there. Hope the insides are as good 😉
I really want to read the new Bohjalian, hope you enjoy it!
So far, so good! I only have had to DNF one of them, but I didn’t even make it 40 pages without wanting to throw the book across the room. You win some, you lose some!
I’ve got Close Your Eyes, Hold Hands coming up soon too. I hope it is a great read for both of us!
Yay for Chris Bohjalian!!
I’ll chime in with how much I loved One Plus One. It was such a story of the underdog and how someone did something nice.
I really admire Chris Bohjalian and I can’t wait to read new book. I met him once and I was a little gushy. I’m seeing him in July again and I’m hoping to be much cooler. Ha ha
Have a good week.
One Plus One definitely was that. I felt it renewed my faith in humanity, even though I know it is total fiction.
I always feel so awkward with authors. Especially if I follow them on Twitter and happen to have interacted with them a bit. Do I pretend a greater friendship than we probably have? Where do I stop gushing and become creepy stalker girl? Good luck playing it cool with Chris on your next meeting!
I effing loved One Plus One. And I kind of want to read Queen of the Tearling as well.
I did too. It was just so sweet but not saccharinely so. I am beginning to really love her modern fiction.
You read lots! I liked Skin Game and really liked The Queen of the Tearling. I hope you enjoy it too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
I didn’t read as much I wanted to read this past week. My goal is to make up for it this week though!
Have a good one!
You always have interesting books lined up that I haven’t heard of – but always intrigue me! I have yet to read a book by Chris Bohjalian. Have you read any others by him? I hear good things. He had a suspense out a few years back that was on my TBR list forever.
I read his Bohjalian’s last book and really enjoyed it. I’m always cautious about starting an author like him though because he gets such rave reviews. It makes me nervous that I’ll be the lone person to dislike his work. LOL!
