I have been rather slack on blog-hopping lately, so I am behind on everything now!
I understand completely! You’re good. I know you’ll be around eventually. 😉
I have Summer House on my TBR list although I didn’t care for The Dinner. I wish they hadn’t compared that one to Gone Girl. It set my expectations in the wrong direction. This one sounds pretty intriguing though.
Yes, The Dinner was nothing like Gone Girl other than the fact that you don’t like any of the narrators. I can’t believe they even made that comparison. I’m sure you weren’t the only one who was disappointed. Summer House still has fairly dislikable narrators, but I think it moves in a completely different direction than The Dinner. Good luck!
Ok, that Memory of Water cover is FREAKY! And I didn’t realize Lisa See has a new book coming out. I REALLY need to read SOMETHING (anything) of hers.
Yes! This was my first Lisa See; I really enjoyed it and may have squealed when she tweeted me about enjoying it!
Isn’t it a freaky cover? I cannot wait to get to it!!
(BTW, Sarah Waters is also releasing a new book this year…)
It’s a new address.
I love all your books. Enjoy!
Thanks, Tea!!
I can’t wait for the release of China Dolls – I love Lisa See and find her books to be so interesting!
Oh – so many good books and so little time!!!
Have a great week!

This was my first Lisa See novel; it was definitely interesting. Her portrait of female friendships is spot-on.
Have a great week!
My first Lisa See book was Snowflower and the Secret Fan – loved it! Have since read Peony in Love, Shanghai Girls and Dreams of Joy (which is a sequel to Shanghai Girls). I actually got to meet Lisa See when she was touring for Dreams of Joy…hoping she goes on tour again with China Dolls. She’s a very fascinating person and her research into her books is quite interesting.
I read her author’s notes about the research she did for this one. I was very impressed. She obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. I was particularly impressed with her portrayal of female relationships, how women can be each other’s best friend and worst enemy at the same time. Very well done.
Great line up! I’m curious of what you’re going to think of Don’t You Forget About Me. I added it to my list last week because it sounded good.
I’m reading it right now and am loving (Don’t You) Forget About Me. It’s so different and very mysterious.
I haven’t read them but I love the cover of The Murder Farm and China Dolls. I’ll have to add them to my TBR. I’ve got The Quick coming up as well and Bliss House looks really interesting. Happy reading!
Both were very good. I’m really excited about my upcoming books as well. June releases, at least what I have read so far, are turning out to be just as amazing as the May releases!
