Another Sunday, another day filled with snow and cold, cold temperatures. I love Wisconsin, but this winter is making even me consider moving farther south. We are definitely hunkered down in anticipation of the latest arctic blast. We have movies, board games, cookies, a roaring fire, and nowhere to go. Perfect.
I must admit, I am very excited about next week’s Super Bowl even though my team is not in it. It really is the Wisconsin Badgers Super Bowl this year. Running back Montee Ball is with the Broncos, while there is Russell Wilson leading the Seahawks along with their offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell – another former Wisconsin quarterback and the one I watched play when I was there. It’s so exciting to see former Badgers doing so well, and I hope the game next week is as outstanding as it should be.
It was a very low-key week this week. I was felled by some mysterious virus that kept me at home due to a ongoing fever and the subsequent aches and pains. Jim was in Savannah, so it made things a little more difficult. I honestly don’t remember much of this week at all until Friday, when my fog finally lifted. I am doing much better and am looking forward to going back to work tomorrow – as weird as that sounds.

Without further ado, it is time to begin family time. Have a great Sunday and an even better week!

I think you should go with Montee Ball, Michelle, because I’m a big Broncos fan. We need your support, ha. It should be fun to watch. Enjoy the Super Bowl!

Honestly, I would be happy if either team won as long as Russell and Montee both score. It should be a fun, fun game.
I seriously cannot believe the weather you guys have been dealing with. It’s unreal!
I am so freakin’ excited to actually be going to a Super Bowl party!! For the past 5 years, the kids have had productions that have conflicted with the game. This year, it’s the following weekend! I am so happy! I just want to eat and be pig with my little snack plate. Sorry.
Weather across the nation has been unreal, hasn’t it? There can’t be anyone left who doesn’t believe in climate change, right?
Oh, I love Super Bowl parties! We won’t be going to one this year, but I’ll probably make a spread anyway and that will be lunch and dinner. It’s what you do, right?
I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better!
We have yet another snow day today. I’m worried that with all the school cancellations this year, we are going to end up extending the school year quite a bit into the summer. It’s been a cold one this year!!
Stay warm and have fun!!
We had another snow day too. This makes number 4 for the year. I suspect, given how cold it is supposed to be tonight not including the wind chill factor, that they will also cancel school tomorrow. I know they only do this if necessary, but it certain makes for a much longer June.
Have a good week!
I understand that both teams have ties to Wisconsin, but you will be rooting for the Seahawks, right? 😉
But of course!!
I hope you enjoy your time with your family today. 🙂
We are watching the last movie now. It’s been a good day.
We’ve had a lot of really cold days this winter but they’ve been pretty well balanced with some really warm days so it hasn’t been so bad. None of the cold, cold you’ve had and almost no snow (which will bite us in the butt come summer if we don’t get some soon). Glad you’re feeling better now!
We have not had any really warm days since that first cold blast. I really wish we had; melting the snow would be a morale booster.
Have a good week!
Yep, tonight my wife and I definitely aren’t going anywhere (cold here too in northcentral Pennsylvania, not as cold where you are, I’m sure, but still cold enough for us). I think we’ll curl up under a blanket and catch up on some Downton Abbey online or something else on Netflix. We’ll see what strikes our fancy.
Sometimes those are the nicest nights. Enjoy!
So glad you’r better and prepared. 🙂
Thanks, Juju!
