Your reads coming up look great! I have a few of those on my shelf or ereader. I keep wanting to read my older books, but I keep finding new ones. Where is my balance? ugh.
My balance is shot again this year. I’m going to blame Bloggers Recommend for that. And publishers for putting out so many excellent books. And authors for writing them.
Super looking books!
Thanks!
The Crane Wife cover is absolutely gorgeous, but the reviews so far have been less than stellar (which is disappointing). Currently I’m reading Lexicon by Max Barry (halfway in and pretty much still confused) and next up is Shine Shine Shine.
I really enjoyed The Crane Wife. It is a retelling of a fable, so there is nothing new. It is just beautifully written. I don’t know why so many people seem bothered by it.
Great variety of books! Almost all of those are on my wish list/tbr. Hope you are enjoying them! 🙂
Erin @ Let’s Evaluate
Thanks, Erin! I am enjoying them. It’s been a great way to relax over the holidays.
The Poisoned Island sounds good!
It was definitely interesting.
I’m reading Perfect right now. Also, The Colours of Corruption by Jacqueline Jacques, and Allegiant.
Oh, I’ll have to check out what you think of it!
I am really curious about Princesses Behaving Badly!!
I started listening to it before work became insane and then I went on vacation. What I did hear was fascinating!
I love the sound of Princesses Behaving Badly! That one is definitely going on my list! 🙂
It’s great so far! Definitely another vision of princesses to counteract the Disney obsession!
The cover of the new Shortridge book is so pretty. Today I’m hoping to finish up the latest Ann Patchett book, This is the Story of a Happy Marriage. Happy reading.
Enjoy!
Whoa, lots of great books. I have Last Dead Girl also, trying to decide if it will be my first book to read in the new year.
The Humans seems to be the new book release everyone is reading.
The Humans was outstanding. I think I’m going to have to pass on Last Dead Girl. I just have too much to read, and since I haven’t read any of the other books in the series yet, it’s easy to put it aside for another day. Of course, now that means you are absolutely going to love it and I’m going to regret not reading it when I had the chance. LOL!
Impressive lists, as always! I’m wild about the cover of The Crane Wife. I hope the insides are as impressive 😀
I thought so! I know others are less than impressed, but I remain in love with Ness’ ability to tell a story.
